Growing Consensus

In this companion to their jointly edited volume, Building Unity, Joseph A. Burgess and Jeffrey Gros provide ready access to a collection of documents that have emerged from dialogues among U.S. churches involved in the modern ecumenical movement.
This work gathers in one volume texts from the church union discussions and proposals of the nine churches of the Consultation on Church Union, bilateral agreements between partner churches seeking full communion, conversations among Evangelical Christians and others, and multilateral contributions from the Faith and Order Commission of the National Council of Churches in the U.S.A.
