Author Biography

George J. "Rhino" Thompson began as an English teacher who took up Dashiell Hammett as his doctoral dissertation. He is a researcher and writer on techniques of verbal persuasion, and the author of Verbal Judo: The Gentle Art of Persuasion and Verbal Judo: Redirecting Behavior with Words. He also teaches workshops for people faced with crisis situations and has been featured on the network news programs of ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox as well as in the Los Angeles Times and New York Post. He lives in New York City.
