Author Biography

MALCOLM J. CROCKER is Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University, where he teaches and conducts research sponsored by industry and government in acoustics, noise, and vibration control. He is also the editor of the critically acclaimed Encyclopedia of Acoustics. He has published 80 refereed papers and 12 previous books on acoustics and noise control.
