“I do not make retrospectives; I prefer instead to make statements.” This attitude of the Zürich-based artist Hans Jörg Glattfelder is also visible in his works. Strictly geometric forms and vivid blocks of color comprise an oeuvre, which constantly oscillates between concrete art and constructivism and develops both further. The present volume brings together five decades of creative work, which is largely determined by an analysis of scientific and philosophic questions. In various texts, Glattfelder comments on his own work, an overtly clear, but in its significance all the more complex, oeuvre.
