Author Biography

Raised in the Gallatin Valley of Montana, Patrick grew up exploring the hills and rivers of southwestern Montana. For nearly five years Patrick traveled extensively in South Dakota and gained an appreciation for the state’s unique history. He is the author of four books, The Explorer’s Guide to Montana (Countryman), Montana on the Fly: An Angler’s Guide (Countryman), The Orvis Pocket Guide to Streamer Fishing (Globe Pequot), and Montana Fishing Guide Secrets (Riverbend). He lives with his wife and their two spoiled dogs on the Bighorn River in southeastern Montana
