This volume collects 15 classic or never-before-published contributions to understanding the culture of hazing. The collection, which includes contributions from such experts as Stephen Sweet, Michael Gordon, Walter Kimbrough, Lionel Tiger, and others, looks at hazing behavior, hazing in fraternal organizations (including sororities and traditionally black fraternities), military hazing, and hazing in athletics. There are also chapters on hazing and the law, hazing injuries, and hazing and gender. A final chapter discusses steps for transforming a culture of hazing.
