Author Biography

Anees A. Sheikh, Ph.D., is Professor and former Chairman of the Department of Psychology at Marquette University and Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to the field of imagery. A former editor of the Journal of Mental Imagery, he now edits the Imagery and Human Development Series. Sheikh has published fourteen books on imagery and related topics and has trained thousands of health professionals around the world through his imagery workshops. Katharina S. Sheikh, M.A., was formerly on the faculty of Clara Schumann Schule in Bonn, Germany, Cardinal Stritch University, and St. Francis de Sales College in Milwaukee. She is president of the Institute for Human Enhancement. Educated in Germany, France, Canada, and the United States, Sheikh holds graduate degrees from the University of Toronto and Marquette University. She is coeditor of Imagery in Education and Eastern and Western Approaches to Healing.
