Author Biography

Deah Curry PhD's mission is to help women's spirits dance with power and joy. In her in-person, email, and telephone counseling practice---InnerJourneyWork---she uses intuitive, shamanic, holistic approaches to catalyze deep-self awareness, courageous-self development, and revitalized-self healing. She is also an adjunct instructor at Bastyr University near Seattle teaching psychospiritually oriented courses to naturopathic medicine and midwifery students. When Deah isn't counseling or teaching, she can be found researching and writing books. Her current focus is on grief and loss in midwifery, and the development of a physician's desk reference on alternative medicine approaches for treating emotional distress. Steven J Wells's career includes producing events for a cutting-edge gay cultural arts collective, managing a rural food co-operative while homesteading on 40 acres (without a mule), and creating and directing a non-profit healing arts community center in Seattle, WA, where a wide range of transformative experiences were explored by diverse participants. His interests range from psychology and cultural anthropology to wholistic environmental design, and beyond. Steve loves spending time with plants and in nature. He is currently engaged in a longitudinal, organic inquiry of the interplay of mental and physical disorders and related psychospiritual states of consciousness
