Summary

This fascinating book draws together threads from an eclectic mix of sources, both ancient and modern, the storylines of which conform to the astrological design formulated by the Sumerian civilisation (and, indeed, also developed by a number of subsequent civilisations). Penelope Baird studies the Sumerian creation myth, as well as others, such as those of Aryan and Germanic races, in detail, demonstrating the astonishing way in which the stories' structures fit into the astrology-based Wheelform design. She goes on to relate other familiar (or not so familiar) storylines to the twelve sections of this fundamental design for life, including the tale of Odysseus, Jesus's betrayal, trial and crucifixion, the Bayeux Tapestry, the Sanskrit play, Sakuntala, and Wagner's The Ring of the Nibelung.

Author Biography
