Author Biography

Dr. Jess French
Veterinary surgeon, zoologist, children’s TV host, and author — Jess loves all animals, and she loves the natural world they live in, too. She thinks it is very important that we all work hard to protect the natural world, and she hopes that the wonderful children that read her books will be kind enough to educate the grown-ups they meet about animals, the environment, and what we can do to save them. Jess has a degree in Zoology from University College London, as well as degrees in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nottingham. She is children’s ambassador for the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and a patron of Norwich Science Festival. She lives with her family and pets in the countryside in Norfolk, England.

Angela Keoghan
A former photographer turned illustrator from New Zealand, Angela’s illustrations are inspired by her childhood, which was spent surrounded by animals, drawing, reading, and exploring the rural pastures of her home in the Waikato. Her layered, whimsical illustrations are created in a mixture of media both on and off the computer. Angela currently lives with her husband and business partner Jayden in the beautiful New Zealand countryside.
