Summary

From the financial advisor (and life coach) to some of the biggest stars in entertainment and sports comes The Humble Way, a powerful prescriptive memoir that shows you to how to revitalize your relationship with money.

Finance isn’t just stocks and bonds and returns on investment. Finance is behavior. How people spend money is directly linked to what is important to them. This is the dogma of Humble Lukanga, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), otherwise known as a "Navy Seal of finance.” Black men in America have better odds of making it to the NBA than they do in becoming CFPs, but Lukanga's renown—and unparalleled success—is a testament to his singular approach, dedication, and perseverance.

The hardships Lukanga has endured in his life are difficult for many to comprehend. His family was forced to flee Uganda to escape violence; at age 11, he cleaned office buildings and restaurants alongside his father; by his sophomore year of university, he found himself orphaned and alone in his adopted country. Despite these hardships, Lukanga went on to start his own company, Life Line Financial Group, which now oversees billions of dollars in deals for stars across the sports and entertainment industries, like actress, writer, and producer Issa Rae, NBA player Anthony Edwards, and NFL cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

Allowing readers to see where he came from, what he’s been through, and how everything in his remarkable journey has led to his commitment to build unprecedented generational wealth,The Humble Way breaks down the proven behavioral formula Lukanga uses with his clients, motivating readers to think on their dreams, fears, and goals, in both finance and in life. Nobody’s journey to greatness comes without a fight, and true success is not a destination: it's a recalibration.

The Humble Way is rooted in everything Lukanga has learned about turning tragedy into triumph. By following Lukanga's tested framework, he will teach you to push past your regrets, choose the values you wish to live by, and, finally, live your richest life.
