Water wealth of the Danube region, and water resources management problems and solutions will be discussed by authors from the countries of the Danube region: Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Serbia, Czech Republic and others.

Author Biography

Mitja Brilly is Professor of Hydrology and Management of Water Regime at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, head of the Chair of Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering, member of the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering Senate, head of University Post-graduate Study Programme in Environmental Protection, chairman of the Slovenian National Committee for the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) of UNESCO. He was responsible for organization of several international conferences such as Regionalization in Hydrology 1990, FRIEND 97 and XXIVth Conference of the Danubian Countries 2008. He has conducted more than 70 investigations in hydrology, hydraulic engineering and environment, and has more than 40 publications.
