Author Biography

Stephen Brown serves as production assistant for these products--he has already served that role for the above-mentioned series in Japanese, Arabic, and Irish products. He is a senior physicist at the Applied Physics Laboratory of Johns Hopkins University and a registered nurse.

Ceil Lucas is a sociolinguist and professor of linguistics at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, where she has also been a teacher of Italian since 1973. She is the series editor for the same kind of materials for Italian, Spanish, French, Japanese and Arabic for the Yale University Press Conversations with Native Speakers series and the coordinator for the An Gaeilge Bheo/Living Irish materials published by McGraw-Hill.
