Author Biography

Dr. C. Ray Asfahl is Emeritus Professor of Industrial Engineering at University of Arkansas. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Certified Safety Professional. With over 45 years experience in Industrial Safety he has served as Industrial Consultant in most of the 50 states. He has served on the Standards Development Committee of the American Society of Safety Engineers. His books, in seven editions in English, are in use throughout the world. Some editions of his books have been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Korean.

 

David Rieske is an industrial engineer and has worked in manufacturing in the areas of production and health and safety. David has driven identification and reduction/elimination of hazards through real world engineering applications and processes. David teaches at the University of Arkansas in Industrial Safety and Health Administration and also works in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry.
