Summary

This novel starts when the protagonist was born in 2012 and by then, it was indisputable that global warming was real, caused by humans, and a danger to humanity. However, thanks to a campaign financed by the giant oil companies, half of public opinion and many politicians opted for denial, putting ideology and lies before the future of their grandchildren. 2084 is a look into a particularly sad year. At the end of his life, the historian decides to investigate those who suffered the effects of humanity's worst attack against itself and against the earth: the Great Warming. Scientists, politicians, and citizens from around the world bear witness to how they have experienced floods, droughts, famines, and wars firsthand.
