Author Biography

Ken Shamrock is the legendary martial artist who dominated no-holds-barred martial arts competition in both America and Asia. He was the first Superfight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the popular martial arts event, and the first King of Pancrase, the pioneering Japanese fighting circuit. He is also the founder of the Lion's Den in Northern California, where many of the world's top bare-knuckle warriors hone and harden their skills. Step into the Lion's Den and learn the remarkable story of Shamrock's rise from a troubled youth to the pinnacle of reality martial combat. Learn, too, the secrets of Shamrock's ultra-efficient submissions fighting system and the training regimen that makes his fighters champions in the United States, South America, and Asia.

Richard Hanner is a bureau chief and columnist for The Stockton Record where he has won numerous awards for enterprise and feature writing.
