Summary

Victoria Greenleaf's poems encapsulate and preserve her experiences with her family as her children grow. No stranger to heartbreak, this mother records not only the tender and innocent experiences, but also the disappointments and sorrows, the tragedies and triumphs. A physician by profession (psychiatrist by specialty), she brings special training and expertise to her work. Earlier books relate her experiences with two of her sons' psychiatric conditions, antisocial personality disorder and adolescent alcoholism. This book is the third about the Greenleaf family, comprising, with the acclaimed a Handful of Ashes: One Mother's Tragedy and Fighting the Good Fight: One Family's Struggle Against Adolescent Alcoholism, a Greenleaf Triptych. Book jacket.
