Summary

Isaiah is among the most significant books in the Bible. "There is so much gospel in the Book of Isaiah," notes Stanley M. Horton, "that some have called it 'The Gospel according to Isaiah.'" Although he prophesied during a volatile time in Israel's history, the prophet's impact extends far beyond his 60-year ministry: into the New Testament period, into the present. His inspired writings were so vital to Jesus and the New Testament writers that they quote him more than 400 times. Isaiah's visions of a broken-hearted Father inviting His children to return to Him and of the imminent arrival of Immanuel provide insight into the very nature of God. Join Stanley M. Horton, premier Pentecostal Old Testament theologian, as he explores the great themes of Isaiah, premier Old Testament prophet. Book jacket.
