Lenn E. Goodman is Professor of Philosophy and Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Vanderbilt University, Nashville. His other books include Judaism, Human Rights, and Human Values, Avicenna, Islamic Humanism, and Jewish and Islamic Philosophy: Crosspollinations in the Classic Age.
