Benjamin Broomhall Hudson Taylorrs"s brotherinlaw was one of the best known Victorian laymen. Through the China Inland Mission he was a prominent figure in Britain often speaking on missions and familiar to Cabinet Ministers as he fought against slavery and opium. He had a great influence on Godrs"s work in China through the hundreds he sent out including his own children.

Author Biography

Born in Ashland, Kentucky, R.T. Kendall became the Minister of Westminster Chapel, London in 1977 after gaining a D.Phil. at Oxford University. Married with two children, he is the author of several books. Succeeding G. Campbell Morgan and D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Dr Kendall has built his ministry on systematic expository preaching. In a world where compromise and ambivalence have become 'fashionable', R.T. has built a strong reputation for refusing to water down his theology to suit modern tastes. His God is the God of the Bible -- a God of infinite mercy, but also a God of justice
