Summary

Preface "Keep your eyes focused on the prize" was inspired by my desire to loose weight(s) - both physical and spiritual, and get in shape. This writing was commissioned to show men and women the Light, As to how they can overcome the "battle of the bulge" loose both physical and spiritual weight(s) that can weigh them down and/or cause them to suffer other negative effects such as the lose of self esteem and their dreams. The contents of the text is written in poetry form, with the intent to be enlightening, entertaining, encouraging and stirring, and hopefully life changing, with references from several scriptures from the KJV of the Bible, As well as several reveals of my own experience(s), journey and testimonies that attest to how I carried weight(s), lost weight(s) and my continued endeavor to get in better shape.

The Lord strongly impressed upon my heart to write this text, To share a message of hope that you might be inspired to loose weight(s) and get into shape. To do so, this message comes to enlighten you To The Way, The Truth And The Life. it comes to shed a bit of light and perhaps give you a bit of insight to a few causes and effects of carrying weights, but not without highlighting a few solutions as well, that you might prevail and not fail. When Jesus walked and talked amongst the people some two thousand years ago, He often taught using parables that the people could relate and/or translate into themes or things which were familiar to them in delivering His messages of hope so that the people might find new meaning and purpose to their lives and living right. He delivered messages with the hope that the people might conform, be transformed and reborn (converted and/or changed - from the way that they did thangs). For the same cause, He commissioned me to write this text using the parable "the battle of the bulge", To show how the loss of physical and spiritual weight(s) correlate and interrelate, how they can impede our furtherance and/or keep men/women from going the distance. This text comes to enlighten me and you to some hidden truths and to remind us of some already known truths, that we might loose weight(s) and get in shape. The "battle of the bulge" is a battle that is all too familiar to me, For it's a battle that I unwittingly tried to fight on my own until I realized that I could not fight it alone. It's a battle that I found myself struggling and tugging weight(s), that held me down and bound, depressed and stretched, literally sick and in a fix, sore and my spirit poor, until I decided that I couldn't take it any more. After wailing and failing time after time, I cried out unto the Lord and asked Him to intervene and meet my need(s). In His intervention, He shinned the light of hope that gave unto me a new and brighter scope. He gave me strength to fight and showed me the light. He pointed me in the right way, and for His help, there is nothing that I would trade, For I can truly say... He is the answer to every problem, not just one, For there's not a battle He has not won. And so I say to you...when you've tried everything and everything has failed.....try Jesus. He's the prize, whom we should focus our eyes, For it is Christ who will lead us To The light.
