Author Biography

Gennady Spirin was born on Christmas Day in 1948 in a small city near Moscow. A graduate of the Stroganov Academy of Fine Arts, he emigrated to the United States in 1991. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey, with his wife and three sons. He has illustrated several children's books, including The Easter Story, The Nutcracker, and Gulliver's Travels. He has received many awards for his work both domestically and internationally.
