Author Biography

Jon R. Abele, Esq. is an attorney in private practice in Arkansas. He is the author of the following Lawyers & Judges Publishing Company, Inc., publications: Emotional Distress: Proving Damages, Innkeeper's Liability Management, and Construction Accident Reconstruction, Second Edition. He is a contributing author of Slips, Trips, Missteps and Their Consequences.Cindy A. LaRue, M.S., CPE is a senior consultant with Error Analysis, Inc. in San Diego, California. She earned a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in Human Factors Engineering and an M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. During her career of nearly 25 years in the field of human factors and safety, she has served frequently as an expert witness in a variety of premises and products liability cases and has authored and co-authored several research studies, professional articles, chapters and books. She is a Certified Professional Ergonomist and an active member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
