Summary

LADY IN RED is a mystery of murder and intrigue surrounding John Bryan, a young executive of an insurance company in Houston, assigned to work undercover in Charlotte to solve the mysterious death of an employee in that branch. When John arrives at the Charlotte airport, he has a brief, negative encounter with a tall man wearing a black trench coat and fedora who took his briefcase. Pursuing the man, Bryan runs into his old college roommate, Mike Gabrielle, who is the Mecklenburg Police Department detective investigating the same murder. Their chance reunion led to dinner that evening. It was at that restaurant, Bryan saw a beautiful lady in a red dress dining across the room. From the moment he first saw the lady in red, he was captivated by her exquisite beauty but never had an opportunity to meet her. Months later, Bryan found a murder contract concealed in a life insurance application on his computer. The murder contract had a picture of his lady in red, and all her personal information. He printed her photograph from the contract, put it in his pocket. He had to find her and save her life. The tall man in the black trench coat and fedora realized that Bryan had uncovered the murder contract and executed a plot to kill him. The plot failed, only injuring Bryan but throwing him into an underworld of treachery and suspense. He woke up from his injuries with a head concussion, not knowing who he was or how he got there. The only clue to his past was the photograph of the lady in red in his pocket. In another part of the city, the killer had discovered that Bryan was still alive and looking for him. The treacherous schemes of the elusive killer and his accomplices will keep you on the edge of your seat as you journey through the twists and turns of this gripping story.
