MAYA K. DAVID is Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Linguists, UK and is attached to the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, University of Malaya. VANITHAMANI SARAVANAN is Associate Professor of English Language and Literature and seconded to the Centre for Research And Pedagogy, at the National Institute of Education and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. PETER G. SERCOMBE is a Senior Lecturer at Northumbria University.
