Author Biography

Doug Ammons is 48 years old and has been one of the top expedition whitewater kayakers in the world for the last 20, doing first descents in many countries and making adventure documentaries for National Geographic, ESPN, and Outdoor Life. He is known for his poetic and thoughtful writing style, as well as his extremely exciting action stories. He has a family of five children and works as an editor for two large international scientific journals.
