Summary

This third volume of the very popular Leisure Education series includes 108 new and innovative activities for clients of all ages. Leisure Education III focuses on some basic conceptual foundations for service provision. The introductory chapters highlight a conceptual framework that shows how the different elements of service provision, such as protocols, activity analysis, and quality improvement, are related. Next is an examination of assessment issues and concerns that need to be addressed to meet increasing accountability demands, and a review of some problems and concerns with the use of activity interest inventories as a primary source of client assessment information.

A new section on decision-making skills activities has been added, and the section on social skills activities has nearly doubled from previous editions. These changes will help specialists respond to these growing areas of concern for many types of clients.
