Summary

"This collection of essays addresses the general theme of 'freedom' in all its forms in Byron's oeuvre. The contributors consider Byron's works chronologically from the earliest of his productions, through those of his early maturity, to those of his fullest development. The book covers his output in both poetry and prose, and considers many works that do not generally claim serious critical attention."--BOOK JACKET.
