Summary

Lifting the Spiritual Self-Esteem of the LGBT Community is written for all people-whether heterosexual or members of the LGBT community-who are disgusted with the judgmental and discriminatory way that religions project and impose their beliefs onto the lives of others in the self-righteous name of God. Author Khepra Ka-Re Amente Anu provides source material for readers to counter and fight back against religious institutions, organizations, and individuals who condemn any lifestyle that does not conform to their own narrow ideology. He offers a critique of the man-made, mythological religions of Africa-Egypt/Ethiopia, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. With the exception of Buddhism, religions are violent; the scriptures of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are manuals that provide instructional and operational guidelines for the enslavement of humans. Hinduism promotes a brutal and discriminatory caste system, while Christianity and Judaism give instructions about enslaving children, breeding male and female slaves, and the beating and killing of slaves. No benevolent God would approve of violence or slavery. Religions are nothing more than man-made myths that should be cast in the same light as Santa Claus, Peter Pan, or Tinker Bell.

Excerpts

There is nothing real or true about religion. It is a prevarication conceived in the minds of deceitful men devoid of observable and verifiable validation. In order for religion to be believed, it requires one to suspend her or his cognitive/intellectual gifts and have blind faith in rigid religious dogma that is grounded in fables, fairy tales, and outright lies. The last thing that any religion wants is for people to become familiar with basic astronomy and African-Egyptian/Ethiopian religious myths. Islam is a lunar-based religion. Christianity is a solar-based religion that has replaced the worship of the "sun" with the "son" of god, called Jesus. Buddha of Buddhism; Isa, Yahya, and Muhammad of Islam; the Mashiach of Judaism; Moses of Christianity and Judaism; John the Baptist and Jesus of Christianity; Krishna of Hinduism; and Osiris, Horus, and Anubis of Africa-Egypt/ Ethiopia all have similar personal attributes and birth and life myths. The creation myths of Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Africa-Egypt/Ethiopia, and Christianity are all similar. Man-made religion, especially Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism, relegate women to subservient status. From the subjugation of Eve in the Garden of Eden in Christianity and Judaism to the enslavement of young females in Islam, Judaism, and Christianity to the caste-gender bride burnings associated with Hinduism, the scriptures of these religions sanction discrimination and slavery. No proud member of the LGBT community or heterosexual individual weary of judgmental religion should base his or her spiritual self-esteem on man-made religion. Religion is in no moral position to judge anyone and it possesses less plausibility or validity than Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or Casper the Friendly Ghost. —Khepra Ka-Re Amente Anu
