Author Biography

Lawrence S. Harte is a Brooklyn-bred orthodontist who has served in public health and leadership positions in Wash-ington, D.C. and elsewhere. He has published in The New York Times and has lectured nationally and internationally.
Dr. Harte's hobbies include world traveling, sailing, magic, sculpture, playing bridge, painting, and writing poetry.
In his new book, "Listen Up! Musings & Cartoons," Dr. Harte presents vignettes, art, and musings about life that nudge readers of all ages toward ethical and joyful behavior. He provides essential recipes for the basic principles of leadership, success, enjoyment, pursuit of excellence, and self-discipline.
An accomplished cartoonist and character designer who works easily in both digital and traditional media, Dave McCoy offers versatility ranging from comic-book style to realistic, and from storyboards, to ad campaigns for today's hot topics, to packaging. His clients see Dave as the best kind of professional artist. He takes the time to understand thoroughly their goals and objectives. At the same time he works fast and turns around assignments very quickly, which allows him to accommodate demanding schedules.
Dave shares his experience and talents with students as well as clients.
