Summary

All that God is, we are, for God manifests also as individual being. "I am the light that lighteth every man who cometh into the world," said Christ Jesus, expressing the consciousness of the Father. Our oneness with God, the realization of God's presence as our life, is experienced not through thought, not as concepts, but by consciously becoming aware of and resting in the "now moment" -- an awareness of now that is free from dwelling on past memories or hopes for the future. So much of life is caught up in the time-function of the mind alternating between past and future. This is nothing more than an activity of conditioned thought which prevents us from becoming aware of the eternal being that we have in oneness with the Father. It is only as we come into complete awareness of the present that we experience God as our consciousness, God fulfilling Himself as universal life and our individual being. Awareness of God in the present moment allows all that God is to flow into our life, manifesting the kingdom of God as our experience. In that experience God is the only power that can operate in His creation to demonstrate in our circumstances and environment the allness, goodness, and perfection of Spirit. Dwelling on past experiences, or projecting those past experiences into expectations or fears for the future, prevents us from receiving our spiritual heritage that is to be experienced in all its fullness and lived now, in this moment. Author Biography

Joel S. Goldsmith (1892-1964), a monumental teacher of practical mysticism, devoted his life to the discovery and teaching of spiritual principles which he called the Infinite Way.
