Author Biography

Toni Ihara is an anthropologist turned lawyer turned graphic artist. Toni is an original member of the Nolo family and has been involved in the modern people's law movement since its inception in the early 1970s. Co-author of The Living Together Kit and 29 Reasons Not to Go to Law School, her articles have appeared in New West, Ms. and Harper's Bazaar.Ralph Warner is a co-founder of Nolo and one of the pioneers of the self-help law movement. A graduate of Princeton University and the Boalt School of Law (University of California. Berkeley), he is the author of many books and articles aimed at making our legal system more accessible and democratic Frederick Hertz is a practicing attorney and the author of Legal Affairs: Essential Advice for Same-Sex Couples (Owl Books) and co-author of Nolo's The Living Together Kit and A Legal Guide for Lesbian and Gay Couples. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
