Summary

Working since the 1970s, Austrian artist Lois Weinberger (born 1947) uses plants as starting points for public art projects, drawings and films. At Documenta 10, for example, Weinberger planted a disused train platform with fauna from southern and southeastern Europe, as a metaphor for patterns of migration. This 400-page volume surveys his works.
