Author Biography

Lawrence Phillips is Reader in English Literature at the University of Northampton, UK. He is the founding editor of the academic e-journal Literary London: Interdisciplinary Studies in the Representation of London (WWW. literarylondon.org) and an organizer of the annual Literary London Conference which has run since 2002. Anne Witchard is a Lecturer in the department of English and Linguistics at the University of Westminster, UK. She is author of Thomas Burke's Dark Chinoiserie (Ashgate, 2009)
