Summary

Explore the worldwide circus triumphs of Olympia's circus families. Study decades of circus lore through her 29 unique paintings and two digital family scrapbooks with 97 archival photographs. Peruse the revealing captions each treasured photo lists.
The Zacchini and Loyal Repensky families were internationally revered during the Golden Age of the circus arts — 1920s and 40s.
Olympia and her cousins — raised by their respective parents as brothers and sisters — grew up in the tall shadow of renowned fame. They saw first-hand what their parents faced daily to be the best and stay the best.
Such as…
Uncle Emanuel, shot from a tank-like truck's cannon to soar above and beyond three, side by side, 90-feet tall majestic Ferris Wheels to land in a net a staggering 225-feet away. It's a feat no one has ever done before or since. The photograph documenting it is in the book.
Or as…
Uncle Giustino stands balanced atop a galloping Percheron horse, leading three more horses in a line. At a critically precise moment of during horse's pounding gallop, Giustino springs into a backward somersault and lands on the last horse's rump to stand. He traveled through the air some 30-feet! A feat no one has ever done before or since. The photograph documenting it is in the book.
And…
So much more in Olympia' book.
It's for circus lovers, history devotees, and everyone who revels in learning more about this unique time and special culture.
The Loyal Repenskys, The Zacchini Brothers is 123 pages of circus history beautifully captured on glossy 80-pound paper.

Author Biography

Olympia's career spans 55 years of painting, sculpting, and writing poetry as a lifelong Floridian raised by her circus families in Sarasota, a city whose logo is a silhouette of Michelangelo's David.
One highlight of her career was when her bronze sculpture memorializing 9/11 was chosen by the Homeland Security Foundation as a Lifetime Achievement Award for America's first Secretary of Homeland Security, former Governor Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania.
"My studio is a sanctuary for ideas, inspiration, and intense work. Four walls that house sudden joy or startling failure. And yet an inspiration would always lead me by the hand from defeat to a resolution.
Creativity has a life of its own."
