The United States Army in Vietnam is a multivolume history of the Army's involvement in the Vietnam War. The series treats a full range of topics, from combat operations and advisory efforts, to logistics, communications, and engineer endeavors. Two volumes deal with theater command. The second volume, MACV: The Joint Command in the Years of Withdrawal, 1968-1973, describes MACV's evolution as an organization and of the command's role in making and implementing American national policy in Southeast Asia during the period of U.S. disengagement from Vietnam.
