Author Biography

Jim Widess has been providing classes for gourd craft and selling gourds and gourd craft supplies for the past 14 years Ginger Summit has been involved with handicrafts and textile arts for over three decades, but about 10 years ago she became fascinated by the textures and shapes of gourds and began using them in her art as well as exploring their history and uses around the world. Her work has been exhibited in several galleries, and she has toured and lectured throughout the country. In addition, Ms. Summit has contributed to many articles and books
