Author Biography

Paul Whisenand is the president of PMW Associates, a law enforcement and training firm located in San Clemente, California.  He is a Professor Emeritus of Criminal Justice, California State University, Long Beach.  Paul served as a Police Officer, City of Los Angeles, and Reserve Deputy Sheriff, County of Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.  He has authored 14 books on police work.  Further, he has trained and lectured to hundred’s of police agencies across this nation and abroad on the subjects of: leadership; team building; strategic planning; and empowerment.  Paul is a University of Southern California “Trojan” holding his Ph.D. in public administration.  You can learn more about him and his firm by consulting: www.pmwassociates.com .
