Author Biography

MARVIN NEWELL (D. Miss. Trinity Evangelical Divinity School), is professor of Missions and
Intercultural Studies at the Moody Graduate School, Chicago. He and his wife, Peggy, were missionaries
for 15 years in Papua (Irian Jaya), Indonesia. Marv was then Asia-Pacific Regional Director with
TEAM for six years before becoming a professor at Moody. The Newells have four grown children
and two grandchildren.
