Author Biography

Nylora Bruleigh has photographed primarily women’s portraiture for the past 13 years and specializes in prenatal portraits. She has traveled throughout New England teaching classes and seminars about Bellies and Babies portraiture. In 2011, Nylora decided she needed a more creative outlet and began focusing on a more fine­art feel to her portraits. At that time, she created “Belly Couture.” She has been a member of New Hampshire Professional Photographer’s Association since 2000. In 2012, she received her Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).

Nylora was awarded the PPA National Award through her state for “outstanding service to professional photography performed by an individual.” She began working toward PPA’s Master Artist degree in 2013 and received this prestigious award in January 2016. She holds many awards for her fine­art and portrait work, including multiple CPP awards, Kodak Gallery Awards, the Kodak Elite Award, and most recently, the Canon Par Excellence Award in the Master Artist Category at PPA’s North East District Competition. Her first book, Fine Art Portrait Photography, was published by Amherst Media in November 2014.
