Excerpts

This is a short excerpt from the story "The Curse."The little demon sat perched on the end of the bed - his tiny ears lifted upward ready to listen. Rosie laid awake in the bed for an hour and still couldn't decide what to do about tonight. it seemed like every time she was in this position, she would make the wrong decision. it happened over and over again. "I always do what I know I shouldn't do"she spoke outloud. That remark caused the demon to smile - it was more like a twisted smirk but none the less it was the words he wanted to hear. "For by your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned."Matt: 12 vs. 37. The demon was familiar with Rosie and her family so he know what to do next. Soon the phone rang and interrupted her deep thoughts and was a good reason to get out of bed. "Hi Rosie, did you decide to come tonight? I called all the old gang and we will meet at the club at 8:00, and told them I knew you would come."Once again the decision was made by someone other than herself. Strange how that was always the way it was settled.
