Currently the Dean of the Yale School of Management and a monthly columnist for Business Week, Jeffrey E. Garten was previously Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade in the first Clinton administration, and before that a managing director of Lehman Brothers and the Blackstone Group, two Wall Street investment banks.
