Summary

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Adapted for the big screen with Charlotte Rampling and Nick Nolte

Year 2086. A virus has done away with the planet and the last survivors contemplate the ruins of humanity.

June 2086. A virus has done away with humanity and there are only two people left on the entire planet: a young man and an old man who will soon cease to exist. These last two survivors contemplate the ruins of humanity. All wars are over, there is no more famine in the world, and the beasts created by man have disappeared. Did it take a major world destruction for someone to get excited about a sunset again? Will it take for mankind to disappear in order to be aware of what he became?

Amigorena offers a highly poetic novel and brings us face to face with the future while he ponders about the mistakes man made that could end all of humanity.
