Moctezuma Xocoyotzin, architect, knowledgeable poet, fervent priest, fearless warrior, astute politician, analytic man, unjustly underrated by historians and novelists, he was at the front of the most important incident in the history of the American continent. Aware of the danger in waging war against an invincible army because of the quality of their weaponry and the overwhelming number of allied troops, he decided to adopt a different strategy to keep his people from being massacred. He fought a battle of wits with a worthy adversary, Hernán Cortés.
