Summary

Find the most up-to-date and comprehensive treatment of classical and modern antennas and their related technologies in Modern Antenna Handbook. Have access to current theories and practices in the field of antennas, with topics like metamaterials, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), frequency selective surfaces (FSS), radar cross sections (RCS), and advanced numerical and computational methods targeted primarily for the analysis and design of antennas. Written by leading international experts, this book will help you understand recent developments in antenna-related technology and the future direction of this fast-paced field.

Author Biography

Constantine A. Balanis received his BSEE degree from Virginia Tech in 1964, his MEE degree from the University of Virginia in 1966, his PhD in electrical engineering from Ohio State University in 1969, and an honorary doctorate from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He worked with the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, before joining the Department of Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University in 1970. Since 1983, he has been with Arizona State University, where he is now Regents' Professor of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Balanis is a Life Fellow of the IEEE and the author of Antenna Theory: Analysis and Design and Advanced Engineering Electromagnetics, both published by Wiley, and Introduction to Smart Antennas.
