Author Biography

Nakajima (1909-1942) is one of the luminaries of modern Japanese literature, and "The Moon Over the Mountain" is perhaps is best-known work. As with many of his stories, it is based on an ancient Chinese tale, and reflects Nakajima's deep Chinese learning as the scion of a family of Confucian scholars.
