Martin Moone and his imaginary friend Sean Murphy are back with bigger laughs and sillier adventures!
It's lean times at the Moone household. As Christmas looms closer, all Martin really wants is a Game Boy, but Sean warns him that he won't get such a costly gift. So Martin gets a job to buy his own amazing Christmas present. Martin gets a job as a butcher boy, but there's not much for him to do. The fish shop across the street is booming with business, even though it barely employs anyone. Feeling it's their job to get to the bottom of this fishiness (and also Martin is about to get fired until he suggests it), Martin and Sean infiltrate Francie "Touchy" Feely's fish factory as fish-moles. Martin and Sean find themselves deep in the stinky undercover business. Because that's what you do when you want really awesome Christmas presents. But can Agent M double-O N E get to the bottom of Feely's slippery schemes without sleeping with the fishes himself?
Moone Boy: The Fish Detective by Chris O'Dowd and Nick V. Murphy keeps the goofiness and fun of this series going, based on the International Emmy Award-winning Hulu series of the same name.
"Wildly entertaining... Throughout, there are charming illustrations, as well as footnotes defining words of Irish and adolescent origin: craic (fun), gombeen (buffoon), and a gem I’ve put into rotation: shifting—Irish for French kissing.” —The New York Times Book Review
“The Moone family also deserves special recognition for their realistic portrayal of sibling fights and teen angst. For fans of the absurd and hilarious, look no further than this goofy lovechild of The Absolutely True Story of a Part-Time Indian and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” —VOYA
