Author Biography


Bruce W. Wilshire was Senior Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, until his retirement in 2009. He died in 2013. His many books include Fashionable Nihilism: A Critique of Analytic Philosophy, The Primal Roots of American Philosophy: Pragmatism, Phenomenology, and Native American Thought, Wild Hunger: The Primal Roots of Modern Addiction, Role Playing and Identity: The Limits of Theatre as Metaphor, and William James and Phenomenology; a Study of the Principles of Psychology.
