Summary

This book is a straight forward look at the impact Parkinson's can have on a family. It is written from the childs point of view. The child expriences a number of emotions throughout the story as the child comes to understand what is happening to Nunna. The child is initally sad, then comes fear, then anger, and finally understanding of what is happening to Nunna. The child also learns first hand of Nunna's resolve to not allow Parkinson's take away her joy in life as she works hard to battle the disease.

As we watch the child learn, we see how this knowledge is shared to help Nunna and the reader understand the Disease and what can be done to mitigate its impact.

Author Biography

Antionette was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's in 2006 when she was 46 years old. She was inspired by her grandson to write this book. She saw a need to explain to children about this movements disorder. She is retired and lives in Michigan with her husband, Mark.
