Author Biography

BARRY J. BEITZEL (B.A., M.A., Bob Jones University; D.Phil., Dropsie University; Fuller Theological Seminary; University of Pennsylvania) is professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. His numerous publications include translations of 1 and 2 Samuel for the New King James Bible and Joshua and Judges, edited for the same publication.  His areas of expertise include mapmaking, geography, and archaeology. Dr. Beitzel and his wife, Carol, reside in Gurnee, Illinois, and have three children.
